As shipping’s decarbonization efforts accelerate, classification society ClassNK has decided to extend its newly rebranded Zero-Emission Transition Support Services in support of customers aiming for zero-emissions while planning and managing GHG emissions in their daily business operations.

Effective October 1, ClassNK has restructured its organization and established a Zero-Emission Transition Center as well as a Marine GHG Certification Department to strengthen its support to customers working on GHG reduction.

The Zero-Emission Transition Center will be charged with developing overall business strategies related to GHG, and handling planning, implementation, and control of each business.

The Marine GHG Certification Department will respond to certification needs relating to GHG reduction, including IMO short-term measures.
