To what extent will the global vaccination of seafarers impact on the industry’s ability to travel and return to a semblance of normality? There are some in the industry who fear that the gradual opening up of national society will lessen the enthusiasm of some countries to open their borders for fear of allowing in additional variants and infections. If so, this has implications right the way across the board for shipping as an international industry. Leaders in shipping, travel and the airlines will debate this and other related issues.
