Bjorn Hojgaard, Chief Executive Officer of Univan Ship Management, has been re-elected to the INTERTANKO Council, while Peter Helm, the company’s head of Marine & Safety/Quality has rejoined INTERTANKO’s Vetting Committee.

“It is a great honour for Peter and I to be rejoining the INTERTANKO vetting committee and council. There are many challenges facing the tanker industry today and this organisation plays a pivotal role in defining the way forward for ship owners and operators worldwide,” said Mr Hojgaard.

INTERTANKO is a forum where the industry meets, policies are discussed and statements are created and is recognised as a valuable source of first-hand information, opinions and guidance. INTERTANKO has cited its vision for a professional, efficient and respected industry, dedicated to achieving safe transport, cleaner seas and free competition. Mr Hojgaard and Mr Helm also served on the INTERTANKO Council and Vetting Committee before joining Univan earlier this year. The next meeting of the council is in London on November 14th-15th.
