The SMS Group appoints new head of business development for cruise and ferry

The SMS Group has announced a significant investment in its people with the creation of a cruise and ferry team, to ensure experience, credibility and capability are at the forefront of its offering. In doing so, Darren Smith has joined as Head of Business Development with a clear focus on the Cruise and Ferry sector.

A leading marine engineering provider in Southampton, a port city on the south coast of England, it has an enviable reputation as specialists in outfit, ship repair, and marine engineering in the Commercial Marine, Defence and Cruise sectors.

Darren, who is Southampton based with a global remit, brings with him a wealth of experience and contacts from over 30 years in the industry. He joins Dan Lockyer, Head of Interiors, and Project Managers Nick Border and Chris Bailey.

Collectively encompassing over 100 years of genuine hands-on experience the team has unrivalled industry expertise and is uniquely positioned as the only marine interior outfitter located within the ABP footprint in Southampton.
