Visitors to Survitec Group’s stand S24G on the UK pavilion at Sea Asia, will be able to find out more about the Group’s recently launched Global Services Liferaft Hire programme. Ship owners throughout South East Asia can now take advantage of this service that allows a customer to choose between service hire or exchange hire with the additional option of a fully managed service.
Key to the delivery of the Liferaft Hire programme is Survitec’s global network of over 580 accredited service stations and 37 wholly owned service stations worldwide. Customers benefit from service and support in over 2000 ports and 96 countries, covering the top 150 commercial and passenger ports worldwide.
In South East Asia, Survitec has service agents in all the major ports from the Sea of Japan to the Indian Ocean, in addition to its own dedicated service facilities in Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Korea.
Survitec’s Global Liferaft Hire programme offers a simple, speedy and streamlined solution for maintaining liferafts while vessels are in port. Customers benefit from financial security for ongoing service costs and the opportunity to reduce the total cost of liferaft ownership over its service life.
Hiring equipment means no investment required, no depreciation of assets and the guarantee that a vessel will always be equipped with a set of fully serviced, high quality liferafts. The exchange option is ideal if a vessel’s stay in port is very short. Existing liferafts can be exchanged for a new approved set, making for a swifter turnaround. With the managed service option, administration time is kept to a minimum because Survitec takes care of all the planning for routine servicing or exchanges.
Survitec is offering flexible terms to allow customers to extend the term of a contract or scale-up their requirements to include additional vessels. Many customers opt for long term contracts offering security of supply and peace of mind over a longer period. However, the contracts feature easy exit options, for example if a vessel is sold. Included in the programme is a broad range of approved Throw Over (TO) and Davit Launch (DL) liferafts with capacities from 6 to 37 persons, all from world-class brands like RFD, DSB and SurvitecZodiac.
