The 15th Singapore Maritime Week (SMW) 2021 will take place on 19 to 23 April 2021, enabling experts and leaders to discuss the changing face of the industry, with post Covid-19 environments and strategies and how best to thrive, topping the agenda.

Themed ‘New Frontiers, Shifting Paradigms,’ the conference, organised by the Maritime Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), will consist of nineteen sub events held online and provide a platform to share new opportunities for Singapore to achieve its vision of a global maritime hub for connectivity, innovation and talent.

Chief Executive of the MPA Ms Quah Ley Hoon said: “The maritime industry is at a critical juncture, with resilience, digitalisation, decarbonisation and talent development at the forefront of change for sustainable growth. SMW 2021 is an opportune moment for the industry to come together to share knowledge and best practices in these areas to drive effective industry transformation.”

With the Covid-19 pandemic accelerating transformation in the maritime industry, the spotlight will focus on pushing new frontiers in a post-pandemic world, with closer collaboration to enable resilient operations, digital solutions, maritime decarbonisation, and on a future-ready maritime workforce.

Mr Ong Ye Kung, Singapore’s Minister for Transport, will open the event.
