Rising star Svein Pedersen has shocked the shipmanagement sector by resigning as President of EMS Ship Management after only two years in the post.
The ‘roller blading’ shipping executive moved from rival manager Thome in the last quarter of 2006 to head up EMS Ship Management, or what was originally known as TESMA.
His boss Annette Malm Justad will take over duties at the growing shipmanagement company until a replacement is found.
EMS said in a statement: “After two years of reorganising and globalising the Ship Management division of Eitzen Maritime Services ASA (EMS), Svein Pedersen has decided to resign from his position making space for others to continue the way forward. Annette Malm Justad, CEO of EMS, will head the division until his replacement has been found.”
