Fincantieri delivers ‘Mein Schiff Relax’ In Monfalcone

Italian yard group Fincantieri is pleased to announce the successful delivery of the ‘Mein Schiff Relax’, the first of two advanced dual-fuel InTUItion-class cruise ships built for TUI Cruises, a joint venture between TUI AG and Royal Caribbean Cruises in Molfalcone

With a gross tonnage of approximately 160,000, Mein Schiff Relax will be a key component of TUI Cruises’ new fleet, designed to enhance sustainability and energy efficiency while meeting the latest environmental standards. The ship, powered by LNG with the capability to use future low-emission fuels such as bio- or e-LNG, represents a major advancement in eco-friendly cruising. It also features an innovative waste treatment system and advanced energy-saving technologies to reduce operating consumption and minimise environmental footprint.

 The delivery ceremony took place today in Monfalcone, attended by prominent figures including Luca Ciriani, Minister for Relations with Parliament, Biagio Mazzotta and Pierroberto Folgiero, Chairman and CEO of Fincantieri, Luigi Matarazzo, General Manager of Fincantieri’s Merchant Ships Division and TUI Cruises’ executives, including CEO Wybcke Meier, CFO Frank Kuhlmann and the ship’s Captain, Tom Roth.

 The vessel’s design and construction involved more than 3,000 professionals, including Fincantieri employees and partners, working diligently to ensure the ship meets the highest standards of modernity and sustainability. The sister ship, also under construction at Fincantieri, is set for delivery in mid-2026.
