One Care Group focuses on women’s health issues with third consecutive Annual Forum and new E-learning course
One Care Group (OCG), a leader in health and wellbeing support services, continues to strengthen its commitment to women’s health with a recent focus on menopause.
Menopause can be a challenging experience for many women, and the lack of open discussion and widespread understanding often intensifies feelings of uncertainty. Not only can it last for several years, but it can also significantly affect both mental and physical wellbeing.
OCG recently hosted its third consecutive Annual Menopause Forum, bringing together a distinguished panel of experts and innovators. Speakers included Dr Maro Petrou (pictured), Obstetrician-Gynaecologist; Dr Stella Kaouri, Endocrinologist – Diabetologist; Dr Natasa Kotziamani, Breast Radiologist; and Ms. Yiotia Charalambous, Clinical Psychologist, among other specialists.
The event aimed to raise awareness and understanding of the topics surrounding menopause. Key discussions included personal journeys, strategies for coping with symptoms, and the importance of nutrition and exercise in managing this huge life change. OCG offers an array of health and wellbeing eLearning courses including an eLearning course about ‘Understanding Menopause’ that is available through its member, OneLearn Global. The course provides a comprehensive overview of the hormonal changes and symptoms associated with menopause. It also explores the cultural taboos and stigma surrounding menopause and how historical medical oversights have shaped public understanding of this.
The course aims to empower individuals by reframing menopause as an opportunity for personal growth. It aids participants in developing a self-care plan to maintain their emotional and physical well-being during this difficult life transition.
“Menopause is something that almost all women experience, and its effects are often overlooked or ignored, leaving many feeling isolated during a time of significant change in their lives. It’s essential that they have the resources and knowledge that they need to approach this phase of life with confidence.”, commented Marinos Kokkinis, OCG Managing Director.
OneCare Group says it is dedicated to providing the necessary wellbeing support for both men and women at every stage of their lives.
