Port of Riga welcomes MSC INGRID, its largest container ship to date

Latvia’s Port of Riga reports that earlier this month it received. a call from MSC INGRID – the largest container ship in the history of the port, the MSC INGRID measuring 294 metres in length with a beam of 32 metres. This follows MSC having included the Port of Riga in its regular container line route.

MSC INGRID arrived at the Port of Riga from the Port of Klaipeda, en route to Port of Bremerhaven.

The container vessel was serviced at the berths of the SIA Baltic Container Terminal (BCT), the largest and only specialised container-only terminal in the Port of Riga. In 2024, BCT was the port’s largest stevedoring company, handling 19.3% of all cargo in the Port of Riga.

MSC operates more than 900 vessels and has 675 offices in 155 countries, including SIA MSC Latvia in Riga.
