New recruit for ICTSI

ICTSI, a subsidiary of International Container Terminal Services, has recruited a new Senior Vice President for Europe and the Middle East who will bring 25 years of experience in port management, shipping, trade and logistics to the role.

Before joining ICTSI, Hans-Ole Madsen was APM Terminals’ Vice President for Business Development in Africa, Middle East and Indian Sub-continent. From 2006 to 2008, he served as Chief Executive in South Asia for Maersk India. He also held various executive positions in Maersk offices in Nigeria, Pakistan, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Denmark from 1985 to 2005.

Madsen, a Danish national, is a graduate from the A.P. Moller Shipping School in Denmark and has attended various executive programs at Insead and IMD business schools. He will be based in ICTSI’s regional office in Dubai.

“I am delighted to join the ambitious and entrepreneurial ICTSI family, and I look forward to contributing to the continuous development and growth in the region” Mr Madsen said.

Within the EME region, ICTSI presently owns and operates container terminals at Gdynia, Rijeka, Batumi and Tartous.
