New Digital Slipway Portal Launched

Abu Dhabi Maritime has announced the launch of a brand-new digital service to streamline the management of its slipways, including ramps for moving boats and other water-crafts, while also easing congestion at peak times.

With responsibility for all Emirates waterways and marine ecosystems, Abu Dhabi Maritime’s online booking system at admaritime.ae, will allow pleasure boat and watercraft users, such as jet skis, to easily locate and book slipway reservations and parking, along with accessing other key information. The use of areas other than slipways is unauthorized and subject to fines.

Captain Saif Al Mheiri, Managing Director of Abu Dhabi Maritime, said: “An important element of our commitment to unleashing Abu Dhabi’s full potential as a world-leading maritime capital is listening to, and delivering on, the needs of our broader maritime community.

With the introduction of our new online portal, we are not only marking the first step in digitising access to our waterways but are also helping ease access to all slipways located within the emirate, by empowering our marine users with convenient booking options and choices.”

The portal was developed by Maqta Gateway, Abu Dhabi Ports dedicated digital subsidiary.

To coincide with the launch, Abu Dhabi Maritime has opened three new slipways; at Al Sadr, North Yas, and Al Zahiyah, to provide vehicle and trailer parking services and the use of slipway ramps and pontoons. Further developments will include engine and hull flushing, jet-ski rentals and food services.

Abu Dhabi Maritime was formed in July of 2020 as part of an agreement with the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) and Abu Dhabi Ports, part of ADQ, one of the region’s largest holding companies with a broad portfolio of major enterprises spanning key sectors of Abu Dhabi’s diversified economy.
