MSXTravel retail specialist MSX has kicked off the New Year with a substantial investment into a new travel retail showroom at its headquarters in Hampshire, UK.
The firm, which provides bonded warehousing and logistics services to travel retailers supplying ferries and cruise ships, has built a mock-up of the kind of store you would find on a cruise ship or ferry. The showroom has been created so buyers can see MSX’s wide range of products in situ, as if they were stepping onboard or into a tax free shop.
The innovative new offering is the first of its kind to be built by a bonded warehousing and logistics firm in the UK and features its own working pop up bar, where visitors can sample products from MSX’s brands including AB InBev, Langley’s, MacDuff and Stolichnaya. It also has the revolutionary DraftServ system used by the likes of Carnival to allow passengers to serve their own drinks, minimise waste and improve passenger experience.
MSX will also use the showroom to host personalised wine tastings, meetings, events for buyers and training.
Managing Director Nicola Ridges-Jones said: “Decades of experience in the travel retail industry has given us a deep understanding of the psyche of buyers and the unique challenges they face. Our showroom aims to help them address those challenges by giving them access to all of our products in one place, allowing them to touch, taste and try the latest offerings as well as get face-to-face insight from us and our brands.”
