MSC CEO Soren Toft to make keynote speech at LISW21 Conference

Soren Toft, MSC CEO

Shipping’s central role within the global economy will come under the spotlight, in a keynote speech delivered by Soren Toft, (pictured,) CEO of the Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), a leading international shipping and logistics company.

Raising the question of how world shipping is evolving to deliver world trade in a more consistent, smart and sustainable manner, Mr Toft will discuss the current state of the market, question how we have reached this point, and consider what happens next for the global supply chain. His comments are made from the perspective of overseeing MSC’s worldwide cargo operations in more than 150 countries and a fleet of some 600 ships, since he took the helm at the company last December.

Mr Toft is set to deliver his address during the high-level London International Shipping Week (LISW21) Conference, being held at the London headquarters of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) on Wednesday 15 September. He joins other influential speakers including IMO Secretary General Kitack Lim; UK Government Minister of State for Business, Energy and Clean Growth, The Rt Hon Anne-Marie Trevelyan MP, who is the UK’s International Champion on Adaptation and Resilience for the COP26 Presidency; and the Lord Mayor of London, The Rt Hon William Russell.

Limited delegate spaces are still available for the LISW21 Headline Conference but, due to security protocols, signing up in advance is required for in-person attendance. To register click here today.
