Six more companies have passed through the Security Association for the Maritime Industry’s (SAMI) Certification programme.
The programme carries out stringent due diligent checks, assessing a range of the company’s operations, to ensure compliance with a range of minimum standards and the checks are in line with guidelines issued by the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
The latest members to pass through the programme are Actus International, British Maritime Security, Gemini Maritime, Marine One, Ocean Protection Services and Trident Group. This takes the number of certified members to 18 with a further 36 currently being assessed.
Current accreditations are collated on the association’s new member portal, the BRIDGE, which was launched recently to provide members and subscribers with easier access to maritime security information, news, views, guidance and data.
