VIRSEC, the specialist provider of online maritime training courses, announces the launch of its new website (www.virsec.org), complete with a stylish new design and simplified course booking system.
The fully featured, accessible new website has been designed with ease of use in mind and offers a number of additional features and information sources to improve the on-site experience. The new site is faster, easier to navigate and very user friendly.
VIRSEC Director of Training Steve Richards says: “I am really pleased with our new website. The team worked hard behind the scenes to make it easier to use and to update the course information and materials to help people find the right online training course for them. We will continue to develop our training portfolio over the coming months and look forward to helping our customers progress through their chosen careers.”
VIRSEC offers a wide range of online courses designed to provide the best learning experience. From Maritime Security (MCA Approved STCW ISPS) to Hostile Environment Awareness Training & Antiterrorism Courses. All courses are user-friendly, affordable and easily accessible.
The company’s approved courses are delivered online via the VIRSEC e-learning platform. This makes training easy to access from anywhere in the world with a reliable internet connection and provides learners with a flexible and cost-effective means of training. Courses are tailored for the different sectors such as Commercial Cargo, Offshore, Ferries, SuperYacht and Cruise Ships.
VIRSEC’s online courses span several high priority areas, including:
• Maritime Skills Training
• Maritime English Testing
• STCW ISPS Training
• Port Security Training
• Personal Security Training
• Close Protection Training
An objective of the new website is to ensure their expertise and the variety of courses on offer is clearly communicated, to make it as simple as possible to access course details and to purchase a course.
To achieve this, the site features a redesigned menu with a clear course structure so that users can easily search for courses they are interested in, as well as additional in-page links across the site. Access to information such as course brochures, video content and articles has also been improved, providing users with detailed explanations of what each course covers, who the course is suited to and how the course is assessed.
A key feature on the new website is the course booking system. The process of browsing VIRSEC’s range of maritime training courses, viewing all relevant information, and then booking and paying for selected training programmes online has also been made even simpler.
Steve Richards adds: “Working together with our students, partners and industry bodies, we continue to develop new online learning opportunities. As such, we will be expanding the new website by introducing an exciting range of courses over the coming months, so watch this space!”
