Marine Money postpones end-January London Forum

The Marine Money organisation says that it has been watching carefully the Omicron situation in the UK as well as other parts of the world and as a result has decided to postpone its annual London event from late January to early April.

“It has become clear to us that there would be a reluctance to attend a large event in London on 27th January, and indeed to travel to that event from abroad,” it says. “Therefore, we have decided to postpone the Marine Money London 2022 event and a new date of Monday 11th April is now agreed with the venue JW Marriott Grosvenor House, Park Lane.

“We hope and expect that this delay, however regretful, will enable an even bigger and stronger event in April,” concludes Marine Money on a positive note. “The theme of the event remains ‘The environment is everything in shipping decision making’ and we will be continuing to build a first-class agenda with leading shipping and finance executives.”

Last month the biennial Nor-Shipping event held outside Oslo was also postponed from its rescheduled mid-January dates to 4-7 April 2022, again because of the fast-spreading Omicron variant.
