Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS), the maritime and logistics service provider, has opened its first offices in Pakistan.
ISS Pakistan is based in Karachi, while two regional offices have also opened in Faisalabad and Lahore. The new offices will extend ISS’ service offering in the region and across its global network to both new and existing customers.
Karachi is Pakistan’s main maritime hub and the key entry and exit port for goods. Faisalabad and Lahore are also key economic centres in the country, with Faisalabad a main industrial and agricultural centre for export, and Lahore an important economic, transportation and import hub.
ISS Pakistan is offering a full range of marine agency services including marine solutions, third party liner agency services and vessel husbandry.
Chris Stone, Executive Vice President, Middle East, India & Africa, said: “Pakistan is an important emerging market with its growing population, rising GDP and increasing trade with China. The country not only offers great commercial opportunities, but also the chance to provide all ISS customers in Pakistan with the highest standards and transparency in ethical, legal and HSSE compliance through our global network. It is a great development for ISS in its efforts to serve its customers safely and consistently, wherever they are in the world.”
