Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS), a provider of maritime, cargo and supply chain solutions provider has announced the appointment of Peter Nielsen to the position of Vice President Africa. Peter joined the team this month and will support Mombasa-based SVP David Mackay with operations activity across the region.
Peter joins ISS with extensive agency experience in West Africa, having operated as a director at OBT shipping for over 10 years, working through Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea and Gambia. Prior to that, Peter was a MISE management trainee with A.P. Moller–Maersk and worked in various departments within Maersk before becoming Commercial Manager and Acting General Manager for the group in Mozambique.
David Mackay, SVP Africa, commented: “We welcome Peter onboard and look forward to the support and experience he will bring which will greatly assist the ambitious growth plans ISS is developing for Africa.”
