Horizon Lines has been granted the prestigious Jones Act Carrier of the Year award for 2008 by Walmart Stores in recognition of its unrivalled operational reliability and customer service in domestic shipping.

Placing valued emphasis on solid customer partnerships and first-rate transportation and logistics services, John Keenan, Horizon Lines’ President and Chief Operating Officer, revealed that the company was highly honoured to receive the annual award, presented each year to a domestic ocean carrier.
