FTI Cruises has chosen V.Ships Leisure to take over the technical management and port operations of its MS Berlin.
By outsourcing these operative departments, FTI Cruises said it could now focus more intently on its core business segments, sales and marketing.
“V.Ships offers us excellent technical expertise as well as its economies of scale in sales. The company has a great know-how which will help us improve in this increasingly competitive environment,” said Alexander Gessl, FTI Cruises Managing Director.
Aside from the entire technical operations of the ship, V.Ships Leisure will also be taking over the nautical, port planning, technical procurement, as well as the insurance areas for FTI Cruises.
“We are very happy to have won another large cruise operator as a customer with FTI Cruises. We want to build a mutually benefiting lasting relationship with our new customer with our high-quality services,” said Per Bjornsen, Commercial Director of V.Ships Leisure.
The MS Berlin is currently undergoing a technical overhaul in Chalkida, Greece and will begin cruising again on 29th March.
