In order to provide better service in the Eastern Mediterranean area, Evergreen Line will adjust its Greece-Turkey Service (GTS), by adding the Turkish port of Gebze, and will launch a new Greece-Cyprus service called GCY.

The existing Greece-Turkey-Malta (GTM) service will be adapted to become the GCY, with the following port rotation:  Piraeus-Thessaloniki-Limassol-Piraeus.

The first GCY voyage of the 601teu Kirsten is expected to depart Piraeus on April 8th 2013.

A company spokesperson said: ‘With this new feeder service from Piraeus to Thessaloniki and Cyprus and v.v., Evergreen Line will satisfy market demands for improved transit times from Limassol to North Europe, especially for reefer cargo”.
