Maritime cyber security firm Epsco-Ra has announced a series of progressive seminars to the international shipping community beginning in Hamburg, Germany on 13th November, followed by Limassol, Cyprus on 20th November 2018.

The European seminars titled, ‘Why We’re Losing the Cyber Security War & What You Should Be Doing About It’, will look at how companies’ operations fail, despite investing money and effort behind cyber security initiatives.  It will explain how cyber threats are actually threatening the security of the global maritime industry. However, by protecting against such cyber risks, organisations can defend against all types of cyber attacks which impact daily operations on land and at sea.

During the first part, Epsco-Ra’s Director of Technology, Gideon Lenkey, will explain the common mistakes which lead to catastrophic failures. Thereafter, in the final part, he will demonstrate the hallmarks of an effective programme using existing cybersecurity frameworks whilst integrating them into an organisation.

The seminar will be offered on two dates: Hamburg, Germany:  13th November at 14:00 at Fairmont Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten (Neuer Jungfernstieg 9-14), Jahreszeiten Salon & Elbsalon; and Limassol, Cyprus on  20th November at 15:00 at Crown Plaza Hotel (Promachon Eleftherias 2), Ballroom Suite A.
