Elektrans Group and a company affiliated to the reputed German tanker operator Chemikalien Seetransport (CST) and the consultancy and engineering company Marine Service have announced they have concluded a joint venture agreement to set up “CHEMTRANS India Private Limited”.
An agreement setting gears in motion was signed by Daniel Chopra (Executive Chairman, Elektrans Group) and Christian Krämer (Managing Director, CST) in New Delhi, India at The Oberoi Hotel.
The strategic partnership with CST and Marine Service is in keeping with Elektrans’ vision of charting a course for growth and expanding its global footprint, by forging strategic partnerships with reputed players in the global shipping industry.
It is expected that the union based on similar values, beliefs and practices between Elektrans, a first generation family-owned shipping company and CST/ Marine Service, third generation family-owned companies, will generate synergies which will benefit both Elektrans and CST/ Marine Service.
The jointly owned vehicle – CHEMTRANS India Private Limited – will be a platform to promote common activities of Elektrans, CST and Marine Service in India and the region, including servicing the growing Indian LNG and gas industry.
The partners believe in providing high standards of client servicing. They have a strong market reputation and are in a position to tap global networks.
