The Cyprus Shipping Council has dropped the Council tag in favour of the traditionally favoured Chamber epithet as part of a move to enhance its public image. It will not affect the long-recognised CSC logo which will still remain relevant as the Cyprus Shipping Chamber looks to the future.

Thomas Kazakos, CSC Secretary General, told SMI that the move was not a ‘movement of substance’ but part of a move to enhance the CSC’s image. The perceived independence of the CSC, which represents the interests of ship owners, managers and related industries on the island, will not be affected by the rebranding.
