Nigel Cleave has resigned as CEO of PB Maritime Services citing a shift in the company’s operational focus as the reason for his move.

He will leave on December 19th “to embark upon the other opportunities that arise in this current market”.

He told SMI: “The priority for the Pacific Basin Group at this moment in time rests with its core dry cargo business, resulting in their concentration being presently focused in this sector. This leaves less or limited time to develop the ship management business at the pace I had desired.

“In view of this development and my pro-active approach, I have resigned from PB Maritime Services, decided to sell my shareholding to PB and will leave the company on 19th December,” he added.

He said this had been a carefully and considered decision but said he was looking forward to future opportunities which required the attention of someone professional, hard working and dedicated to his job.
