Rajaish Bajpaee, past InterManager President and currently Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement deputy CEO, will take over from Andreas Droussiotis as head of the world’s second largest shipmanagement company, reports Sean Moloney from Posidonia.

Bajpaee will assume the role of CEO from January 1st next year when Andreas Droussiotis retires. Droussiotis has previously confirmed to SMI that he will remain as a consultant to the company which was formed two years ago following the merger of four of the Bernhard Schulte owned shipmanagemwent concerns -Hanseatic Shipping, Dorchester Atlantic Marine, Eurasia Group and VBSK.

Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement currently manages 650 ships and employs over 17,000 seafarers on its fleet. It operates offices in over 25 countries worldwide.

Rajaish Bajpaee built up his reputation as President of the Eurasuia Group from where he became elected as the last President of ISMA (the old ship managers association) and the first President of InterManager, the newly formed trade association for inhouse and third party managers.

He was fundamental in formulating InterManager’s much feted KPI project.
