This week at the annual CrewConnect Global conference in Manila, the ATPI Group celebrates three years since its acquisition of Griffin Travel and the inception of ATPI Griffinstone.
The business marked the milestone by unveiling exciting new developments to its Door to Deck technology platform delivering greater cost transparency.
Being showcased at CrewConnect Global, the enhanced Door to Deck tool features a newly integrated ‘total cost of port call’ concept that will enable worldwide shipping companies to have a single view of both travel and port related costs. This allows users to quickly and easily identify where savings can be made within their crew rotations.
‘Total cost of port call’ has been designed to include greater analysis and visibility of costs in the port area including transfers, accommodation, local currency and customs regulations so that both the costs of travel and costs in port can be consolidated into one work flow. All travel data is displayed in one single platform.
The benefit of ‘total cost of port call’ is that it will allow improved efficiency, and insight into analysing seafarers costs (such as ground transportation, hotel, meals and launches). The tool enables travel and crew coordinators to streamline processes and reporting, and in turn increase compliance to a travel policy.
