This week at the annual CrewConnect Global conference in Manila, the ATPI Group celebrates three years since its acquisition of Griffin Travel and the inception of ATPI Griffinstone.

The business marked the milestone by unveiling exciting new developments to its Door to Deck technology platform delivering greater cost transparency.

Being showcased at CrewConnect Global, the enhanced Door to Deck tool features a newly integrated ‘total cost of port call’ concept that will enable worldwide shipping companies to have a single view of both travel and port related costs. This allows users to quickly and easily identify where savings can be made within their crew rotations.

‘Total cost of port call’ has been designed to include greater analysis and visibility of costs in the port area including transfers, accommodation, local currency and customs regulations so that both the costs of travel and costs in port can be consolidated into one work flow. All travel data is displayed in one single platform.

The benefit of ‘total cost of port call’ is that it will allow improved efficiency, and insight into analysing seafarers costs (such as ground transportation, hotel, meals and launches). The tool enables travel and crew coordinators to streamline processes and reporting, and in turn increase compliance to a travel policy.

Nikos Gazelidis (pictured), global head of shipping sales, ATPI Griffinstone commented: “On our three-year anniversary the ATPI Griffinstone team continues to be at the forefront of new developments that aid shipping businesses in being more efficient and more cost effective. Our specialism in this sector is second to none. The development of ATPI Door to Deck has already proven to be an invaluable tool in managing costs and logistics of crew rotation. The addition of the ‘total cost of port call’ concept brings a greater level of actionable information. With each new development our clients gain greater support and improved efficiency from an enhanced platform that saves both time and cost.”

ATPI Door to Deck covers an enhanced end-to-end crew travel experience which offers transparency of all crew rotation costs in one consolidated invoice. It also co-ordinates all ground arrangements via one single contract, using a standardised process and specialist support over 365 days, 24 hours per day.

ATPI Griffinstone is the official travel sponsor of CrewConnect Global and each year operates the ATPI Arms, an informal location for networking and learning about the most exciting developments in managing travel for crew and offshore personnel. This year the ATPI Arms will also feature demonstrations of Door to Deck and the new total cost of port call concept.
