The founders of Hereford-based Security Company Ambrey Risk, Chris Charnley, John Thompson and Mark Osborne, who have been shortlisted for the first time, will be the sole representatives for the private security industry at the awards. Ambrey is one of six companies nominated in the ‘Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year’ category.
John Thompson, of Ambrey Risk (pictured) said: “This is somewhat unexpected, we’ve been so focused on building the company, but obviously very pleased to have been shortlisted for an award. We are immensely proud of our success as a business over the past year and this nomination is acknowledgement of the hard work and achievements of all the team at Ambrey.
“Our offering continues to build, with significant clients coming on stream for our services, making us not only one of the most active private security companies in the sector but clearly a preferred option to clients. The recent expansion to our training offering has also been significant to our growth, in which we have trained in excess of 600 personnel since June 2013.”
“The private security industry, more than many others, has undergone huge change and is by far more transparent than ever before in the delivery of its services. Both the private and public sectors face risks to their people, products and reputation, Ambrey helps to manage those risks. Following Ambrey’s ISO accreditation in March 2014 we feel that this shortlisting recognises the positive contribution that both Ambrey, and the private security industry, is making to the UK economy. We will proudly fly the flag for the industry at the awards later this year.”
The shortlisted finalists have been drawn from over 1,000 entries from private businesses across the length and breadth of the UK. The winners will be announced at a ceremony at London’s famous Guildhall on 10th September, sponsored by PWC.
