Russian Maritime Register of Shipping type approves Danelec Marine VDR

hans ottosenDanelec Marine, a leading supplier of Voyage Data Recorders (VDRs), today announced that its new-generation DM100 VDR has been type approved by the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) under the new IMO standard, which came into force July 1st.

The type approval certifies that the Danelec DM100 VDR meets all the revised performance standards and technical requirements, as defined in IMO Resolution MSC.333(90). The DM100 has also been type-approved by the German authority BSH and the Singapore Maritime and Port Authority signifying compliance with the new IMO standard.

“The RS certification clears the way for the large number of ships sailing under the Russian registry to be fitted with the Danelec DM100 VDR, which is the first VDR to have received full unconditional type approval and EU Wheelmark under the new IMO standard,” said Hans Ottosen (pictured), Chief Executive Officer, Danelec Marine.

“We are now in full production and are delivering DM100 VDR products through our distributors and OEM partners worldwide.”
