Hill Dickinson commits platinum support to LISW19

As part of its efforts to boost global trade, international maritime law specialist Hill Dickinson has come onboard as a platinum sponsor of London International Shipping Week 2019 (LISW19).

David Wareing, Hill Dickinson Head of Marine and Trade, said: “We are delighted to support London International Shipping Week. This high profile event fits seamlessly with our senior management team’s ongoing strategy to re-position Hill Dickinson as a market leader alongside the top names in shipping and maritime services”.

LISW19 takes the theme: International Trade In A Changing World. Julian Clark, Hill Dickinson Global Head of Shipping, said: “Hill Dickinson is proud to be taking such a leading role in international trade discussions, particularly at this key moment in our nations’ trading history as the UK forges stronger links with its global partners.” Mr Clark recently led a UK maritime trade delegation to New York where British maritime leaders met with major USA lawyers, bankers, shipbrokers, insurers, and technologists.

During next September’s week-long LISW19, Hill Dickinson will be staging a number of events including a high profile shipping and commodity seminar.

Hill Dickinson Chief Executive Peter Jackson said: “Through this high-level sponsorship we are delighted to support the work of our marine business group which, like our commercial business and our growing health sector teams, is gaining greater recognition both in the UK and internationally.”

Shipping Minister Nusrat Ghani MP has declared that LISW2019 will be “even bigger and better.” Speaking recently she said: “In the past six years since its launch, London International Shipping Week has grown to become one of the leading events of its type in the world. It’s the place where the global maritime sector comes together to set the future direction of the industry.”

Welcoming Hill Dickinson’s involvement, LISW19 organiser and Director of Shipping Innovation, Sean Moloney, said: “Support from international leaders like Hill Dickinson demonstrates the ongoing importance of London International Shipping Week in the maritime sector’s global calendar.”
