HELMEPA scholarships announced

The Hellenic Marine Environment Protection Association – HELMEPA, honouring the memories of its Founder, George P Livanos, Honorary Chairman, Captain Vassilis C Constantakopoulos and Founding Member Stavros Daifas, has announced three scholarships valued at €15,000 each, for candidates pursuing post graduate courses (Masters’ level) starting in the 2018-19 academic year, in Greece or any other country of the European Union.

They are in the following fields:

Shipping, in memory of George P Livanos. Priority is given to those applicants whose parents are Greek seafarers.

Environmental Studies, in memory of Captain Vassilis C Constantakopoulos. Priority is given to those applicants who in the past have been members of the ‘HELMEPA Junior’ and ‘HELMEPA Cadets’ environmental programmes.

Naval Engineering – Marine/Offshore Engineering and Technology, in memory of Stavros Daifas. The Scholarship has been kindly offered by his daughter, Irene Daifas, General Secretary of HELMEPA’s Board of Directors.
