Hanseaticsoft targets Asia with its visionary suite of maritime software to lead shipping into the digital age

Maritime software provider Hanseaticsoft is accelerating its growth plans into the Asian shipping market as it looks to open an office in Singapore.

The German company will attend Asia Pacific Maritime in Singapore next month where Alexander Buchmann, Managing Director of Hanseaticsoft, will meet with shipping companies to discuss how its innovative cloud-based shipping software is supporting the digital transformation of the shipping industry, allowing companies to streamline business and management processes and achieve greater efficiencies and profitability.

Following a significant investment by Lloyd’s Register (LR) last year, Hanseaticsoft saw its business grow substantially in 2017, with 15 new shipping companies choosing its Cloud Fleet Manager (CFM), a web-based platform for shipping companies to manage their entire fleet, adding 500 more vessels to its system.

Forty companies, including OSM Maritime Group in Singapore, are now using CFM to manage inspections, crew management, purchasing and other processes in real time using apps and mobile devices. In 2017 Hanseaticsoft also added several new modules to CFM including Cloud Maintenance, Cloud Purchase and Cloud MRV, further enhancing its suite of products.

Mr Buchmann said: “We’re delighted to be attending this major global conference in Singapore, which is a great opportunity for us to meet potential shipping customers and discuss how cloud technology could help drive their business.

“Cloud technology is being embraced by some of the world’s leading shipping companies, who are taking advantage of increasingly affordable and accessible cloud platforms to implement smarter, faster and more effective processes.

“Following a successful year in 2017, we are focused this year on improving our international position, as well as strengthening our relationship with LR and working together to bring the many business benefits of digitalisation to more companies.”

In 2017 Hanseaticsoft also increased the number of employees from 35 to more than 50 and has almost doubled its office space. It plans to attend several global shipping events throughout the year, including exhibiting at some with LR.

David Barrow, Director, Innovation, Marketing & Sales at Lloyds Register said: “We will be working closely with Hanseaticsoft this year to support clients on their digital journey. Hanseaticsoft is one of the major players in the industry offering innovative technology solutions and fresh perspectives that significantly improve business performance.

“They share our vison of the digital future of shipping with the same passion and together, we will accelerate the much-needed digital transformation by combining our shipping and technology-centric approaches to meet the challenges for the global shipping sector.”
